Starting our blog...

So I decided to get with the times and start my blog for all my friends and family to see what Monico and I are up to here in Seattle, as I have thoroughly enjoyed reading THEIR blogs!

At present, it is 11:09pm, Monico is watching the Olympics and folding laundry in the living room, and I am frantically trying to get this new blog set up before my eyes give out. But, then again, tomorrow IS Saturday, which means I get to sleep in and "catch up" on all my missed sleep from the week... right? Only if I don't have to work one of my 4 jobs. With Monico soon joining the ranks of the unemployed in two weeks when he starts his one-year Masters in Teaching program at Seattle University, I have taken on some additional work to try to make up some of his lost income. Monico put it best when he said "Mexican's aren't taking all the jobs, you are!" Apparently. But more about that in the future.

I am excited to share that yesterday was our 10th wedding anniversary! Yep, ten years since "I do," can you believe it? To celebrate, we went to Buenos Aires Grill in downtown Seattle and enjoyed a mixed grill feast.
There was skirt steak, chicken, ribs, and chorizo sausage... muy delicioso!!

To balance the meaty-meal, we got a side of grilled veggies:

And for dessert, we got sorbet... can you guess what flavors they were? (So clever!!)

After dinner, we headed over to Giggles Comedy Club just north of UW campus, where we paid $5.00 each to attend "Open Mike Night." Although a little painful at times sitting through the awkwardness of some of the newbies, we thoroughly enjoyed most of the comics, and were even lucky enough to have Jeff Dye (of the recent Last Comic Standing) do 15-20 minutes of schtick! FANTASTIC!

All in all, a very fun and unique anniversary.
