Sometimes you just got to let others know what is a good purchase worth your money, and what should be avoided. So, here is some of mine.
Product #1:
In November the temperature dropped quickly and, because I ride the bus to and from work, my skin was exposed immediately to some harsh treatment. As a result, my face began to crack and hurt from the dryness. My regular face lotion a la Clinique was not cutting it, and I was frustrated at how my face looked like crocodile skin. So, I googled "dry skin cream" at Walgreen's.com and what should I find?
This stuff works GREAT! And at roughly $5.99 a jar, you can't ask for a better bargain. Also, I have not-the-greatest pores, and I fully expected two things to happen: (1) I would break out in hives from using a drug store lotion, and (2) I would break out in pimples. But, neither of those two things happened. What did happen was my skin became smooth, my rough and flaky cheeks, forehead and chin became soft, and the results were IMMEDIATE. I am still using the same jar of cream daily, and have more than half of it left, so a little goes a long way. This is my "Good Buy"!
Product #2:
Now for my bad buy...
When grocery shopping last week, I stopped in the cracker isle and wanted to get some crackers to eat with all the soup I was planning for my lunches that week. When I went to grab a box of Ritz, I noticed that the Safeway brand crackers were on sale for half the price. (Ritz were $2.99, I think, and the Safeway were 2 for $3.00.) So, I bought the Safeway brand... BAD CHOICE. I hate when a generic product burns me, and this one did. They are THE WORST crackers I have ever had, and taste more like the cardboard box it sits in than a cracker.
So, no matter the price, Ritz is always the "Better Buy".
Avoid the generic.
